Alpharetta Motorcycle Driver Critically Injured In Marietta Crash

A Toyota Camry crossed in front of the Kawasaki motorcycle on Cobb Parkway and caused the collision, police said.

MARIETTA, GA — A 28-year-old motorcyclist from Alpharetta is in critical condition after a two-vehicle crash Wednesday on Cobb Parkway and Polytechnic Lane, Marietta Police said.

The accident happened around noon, when an 18-year-old Marietta woman driving a 2005 Toyota Camry tried to turn left in front of the motorcyclist driving a 2016 Kawasaki ZX636, police said.

The Kawasaki hit the front of the Toyota, and the motorcyclist was ejected from the bike, police said. The person had life-threatening injuries and is being treated at Wellstar Kennestone Hospital.

Police did not say if the driver of the Camry was injured.
