Armed Intruder Prompted Lockdown Of Kennesaw State In Marietta
An armed robbery at a restaurant near the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University prompted a one-hour lockdown Tuesday night.
MARIETTA, GA — Students at the Marietta campus of Kennesaw State University were told to shelter in a secure location for about an hour Tuesday night as police searched for an armed intruder.
University officials told those on campus to "Seek shelter in a secure location until further notice."
The alert was sent about 9:11 p.m. from the university’s official Office of Emergency Management Twitter account.

At roughly 10:19 p.m. the university tweeted, "Marietta Campus: All clear has been issued for the Kennesaw State Marietta Campus. Normal campus operations may resume."
An armed robbery at El Ranchero restaurant, 562 Cobb Parkway SE, adjacent to the Marietta campus, prompted the lockdown alert, Marietta police told Fox. The campus is behind the restaurant separated by a wooded area and North Hornet Drive.
