Here are the top stories today in Marietta:

1. The Marietta City Council approved a Crisis Response Canine Program with a specially trained black Labrador retriever as an emotional support dog for elementary school kids. The program was one of several agenda items approved at the council's regular meeting.(Cobb County Courier)
