Artist Frank Buckner Turns Brickyard into Public Art Event

The Brickyard and Buckner offer a slight twist to Marietta's First Friday Art Walk with "Red, White and Blue -- and Other Colors Too" by allowing visitors to add their own splashes of paint to the canvas.

Marietta shines every first Friday of the month with its seasonal Art Walk.

Tonight was spent at where local artist Frank Buckner delighted everyone with Red, White and Blue – And Other Colors Too. For the exhibit, Buckner outlined two pieces "Big Chicken-Little Chicken" and "Open For Business." As part of his "folks art" project, visitors could come in and lend some of their creativity to the canvas with some of the paints and brushes available.

The Brickyard is the vision of Frank's daughter, Bonnie, who converted this piece of Marietta history into an event space, perfect for parties, receptions, weddings and corporate events.
