Atlanta Falcons Visit Lockheed Elementary Homework Center

MARIETTA, GA –- SCANA Energy celebrated the end-of-school year at its homework center at Lockheed Elementary School with a special appearance by the Atlanta Falcons on Tuesday, April 26.

The homework center visit featured Falcons offensive guard Ben Garland, Falcons Cheerleaders, and Freddie the Falcon presenting the Atlanta Falcons Junior Training Camp to emphasize the importance of daily physical activity. Activities included a fitness station, an obstacle course, and fundamental football drill exercises where students practiced a quarterback toss, and running back and defensive back drills.

The Lockheed Elementary Homework Center operates from 3:30–5:30 pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays. The center serves 34 second through fifth grade students.

SCANA Energy Homework Centers provide a safe and structured study environment where students can complete their class assignments and learn proper study skills. Each homework center operates with two certified teachers who are responsible for the total management of the program. SCANA Energy provides funds for the teachers, an assistant, snacks, and student incentives. Additional Georgia Homework Centers include elementary schools in East Point, Lilburn, Lithonia, Macon, Norcross, and Rome.
