Austell Man Injured In Marietta Crash
Police said the man's car lost control and left the roadway after it was hit Saturday by another car.
MARIETTA, GA — A 62-year-old Austell man was injured Saturday after Marietta Police said his car spun out of control near Cobb Parkway after it was hit by another car.
The accident happened around 8:30 a.m., near Cobb Parkway and Frey's Gin Road. The Austell man was driving a 2016 Chevrolet Impala northbound on Cobb, where a 2020 Hyundai Elantra hit it from behind, police said.
The Elantra was being driven at a high speed rate by Michaela Hudson, 24, of Stockbridge, police said. After the Elantra rear-ended the Impala, the Impala spun out of control and left the roadway, police said.

The man had serious injuries and was treated at Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center.
Hudson was not injured, police said, and she was charged on suspicion of driving under the influence, serious injury by vehicle and other traffic-related charges. She was taken to the Cobb County Adult Detention Center, police said.
