Bank Robbery in Marietta on Friday

A man entered the Regions Bank on Roswell Road shortly before noon, armed with a gun and demanding money.

MARIETTA, GA -- The Regions Bank on Roswell Road in Marietta was robbed shortly before noon on Friday.

According to police, a male entered the Regions Bank and demanded money from a teller. The teller complied with the demands, and the male fled the area after receiving an undisclosed amount of cash.

The suspect is described as a white male, 6 feet tall, in his early forties and average build. He had short brown hair and a full beard. The perpetrator was wearing a light-colored collared shirt with a dark-colored windbreaker and light blue jeans. He was also wearing a black Nike baseball cap and sunglasses. The male was armed with a small black handgun during this incident.

Police also believe the man was involved in a bank robbery on Feb. 4, 2016 at 4209 Roswell Road in Marietta, at the Fifth Third Bank.
