Jump into Your Gene Pool on Monday

The 1940's Census is being released on April 2nd! It's a great time to jump into your Genealogy pool as living history could be at your fingertips; mine is!

As a little girl I would climb into my Granny's lap and listen to stories about her childhood, becoming completely immersed in her world. She would tell me all about going to the well for water with her sister, the WWII rations and meeting her friends for ice cream. Most of that time encompassed the 1940's. Wonderfully, we both have lived to see the 1940 Census released after being kept under seal for 72 years.

Until December 2013, Ancestry.com will have the entire 1940 Census avaialble free of charge. So, without any sign up costs and a user friendly website at your fingertips your excuses are dropping like relatives on a family tree.

Ancestry.com also has the newest technology and offers webinars, a robust Help function, affordable plans, plus excellent customer service. I know all this because I use it. It's a big improvement from the microfilm and old newspapers Granny and I started our research with in 1992! For another viewing option and more information, please visit the National Archives.
