The 40th Annual Thanks for Giving Food Drive

The 40th Annual Thanks for Giving Food Drive, hosted by The Center for Family Resources, brings the Cobb County community together to help local families enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. For 40 years, this beloved tradition has provided food and support to families facing food insecurity, including those served by Cobb County School District and Marietta City Schools.

Each family receives a box of Thanksgiving groceries and $20 in grocery gift certificates to help make the holiday a little brighter. In 2025, the drive provided more than 1,100 families with Thanksgiving food boxes, thanks to the generosity of local businesses, schools, community partners, and hundreds of volunteers.

This year, we’re celebrating four decades of neighbors helping neighbors, with a goal of reaching even more families. Every donation, food drive, sponsorship, and volunteer hour helps ease the burden on families and ensures more children can experience the joy of Thanksgiving around the table.
