CCT Takes Best Wardrobe, Set Design

The non-profit, all volunteer theatre took home two of the 2011 Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards on Sunday.

Cobb Children's Theatre won Best Wardrobe (Theresa Peeples and Katryn Taylor) and Best Set Design (Ryan Karstensen, Bryan Taylor and Levi Kaplan) for its "Into the Woods" production at the 2011 Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards.

CCT was nominated for 11 out of 16 of the awards.

The non-profit, all-volunteer theatre has been under the guiding force of Karstensen nice 1999.

CCT does three shows a year. The fall and spring shows are with middle school and high school students ages 10 to 19. The summer show is with high school and college students ages 13 to 25.

The next show, "Honk," is Nov. 11 and 12 at 8 p.m. and Nov. 13 at 3 p.m. at the Jennie T. Anderson Theatre.
