Phantom power is the energy consumed by home electronics when they’re ‘off’ or in standby mode.  Many household electronics continue to consume energy if they are kept plugged in to an outlet. To begin think about what small electronics and appliances you can unplug after use, like, toasters, coffee machines, phone chargers, computer chargers, kettles and electric toothbrushes. After that, think about the larger phantom power consumers such as your television or gaming console.  Consider purchasing a power strip with and on/off switch or smart controls and group devices that are hard to switch off so you can quickly shut off power to devices when you're not at home.
