Did you know that water from storm drains does not flow to wastewater treatment plants?  Water entering storm drains flows untreated into streams, lakes, wetlands, rivers and oceans. Stormwater picks up and carries numerous pollutants into our waterways having a major impact on the health of the aquatic ecosystem and could make waterways unsafe for recreational use. Stormwater runoff is one of the biggest challenges to water quality in our area since most of our drinking water is obtained from surface water.
