Clear Weekend Weather Means More Cobb Road Work

Check out this list of projects before heading out this weekend.

Here's what the DOT will be doing in Cobb County this weekend:

Northwest Corridor Express Lanes

  • On I-575, one northbound lane will close between Towne Lake Parkway and Ridgewalk Parkway from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
  • On I-575, one northbound lane will close between Bells Ferry Road and Shallowford Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
  • On I-75, two southbound lanes will close between SR 120 Loop/ South Marietta Parkway and SR 280/ Delk Road from 9 p.m., until 5 a.m., Friday night and Saturday night.
  • On I-75, a traffic pace will take place on all northbound lanes between Chastain Road and Wade Green Road from 11 p.m., Friday until 3 a.m., Saturday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
  • On I-75, a traffic pace will take place on all southbound lanes between SR 92/Alabama Road and Wade Green Road from 11 p.m., Friday until 3 a.m., Saturday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
  • On I-285, one eastbound lane will close between Cobb Parkway and the I-285 eastbound collector-distributer lanes from 9:30 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday.
  • On I-285, one westbound lane will close between the I-75 interchange and Cumberland Boulevard from 9 p.m., until 5 a.m., Friday night and Saturday night.
  • On I-285, a traffic pace will take place on all eastbound lanes between Cobb Parkway and the I-75 interchange from 11 p.m., Friday until 3 a.m., Saturday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
  • On SR 120 Loop/ South Marietta Parkway, one lane will close between the I-75 interchange and Franklin Gateway from 9:30 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday and from 9 p.m., Sunday until 5 a.m., Monday.
  • On Hickory Grove Road, a flagging operation will take place from Shiloh Road to Hamby Road from 7 p.m., until 5 a.m., Friday and Saturday.
