Cobb County Needs More Responses To Meet 2020 Census Goal

We want to ensure Cobb County has a thorough and accurate 2020 Census count, so the appropriate funds and resources are available to our community. The results of the 2020 Census will help determine how hundreds of billions of dollars in funding flow into communities every year for the next decade. The data impacts Head Start programs, school lunches, plans for highways, affordable housing and support for firefighters and families in need. It also determines our representation in government.

As of April 4, Cobb County has an overall response rate of almost 46 percent. You can check the map above, broken down by library service areas, to see how well your neighborhood is doing and encourage your neighbors to complete their 2020 Census.

While we are sheltering in place at home, let's take a few minutes to complete the 2020 Census. It has never been easier to respond on your own, whether online, over the phone or by mail—all without having to meet a census taker. Please respond to the census today.
