Cobb EMC To Host 79th Annual Meeting

From Cobb EMC: Cobb EMC members are invited to join the electric cooperative for its Annual Meeting, which will be held at Jim R. Miller Park in Marietta, Ga. on Saturday, September 16. Each member who registers will receive up to four free North Georgia State Fair tickets with unlimited rides and free parking passes to enjoy when the fair is in town. Members will also have a chance to win door prizes including smart watches, Visa ® gift cards, bill credit, Big Green Egg ® grills and a refurbished Cobb EMC truck.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. and will end when the meeting begins at 9:30 a.m. Residential members must register with photo identification, while commercial, government and church groups must provide authorization to represent their organizations at registration.

During the event, attendees can learn more about their cooperative and ways to save on their electric bills, as well as electric safety, health and conservation. Other activities include a power line safety demonstration and a kid’s fun zone. Refreshments will be provided. The Cobb EMC’s volunteer Women’s Task Force will also raffle a handmade quilt to raise money for local youth scholarships.
