Cobb Landmarks Celebrate Partnerships, New Marietta Book
Historical society held two meetings Saturday that highlighted successful partnerships and the publication of "Marietta, Gem City of Georgia."

The first event was the semi-annual Membership Meeting "Passport to Preservation," which featured tours of the group's flagship property the along with informative speakers on preservation and education efforts for teachers teachers and students throughout Cobb County.

Later that evening, a reception was held at the to honor the group's "Preservation Partners." At both events, author Doug Frey and photographer Jim DiVitale were on hand to autograph copies of their beautiful 432-page book which features many of Marietta's historic homes.
