Cobb School Locked Down After Shooting
The high school is less than a quarter mile away from an apartment complex where a man was firing a handgun Monday morning.

MARIETTA, GA — A Cobb County High School was placed on lockdown for about an hour Monday after police received a report of gunshots being fired nearby.
Osborne High School, in Marietta, was locked down for about an hour before noon, said Cobb County Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce. At about 10:30 a.m., police were called to a report of shots fired at Caswyck Trail Apartmens on Favor Road.
According to witnesses, a man had fired a handgun at a maintenance man at the complex, as well as firing shots into the air, Pierce said.

Osborne High School is about a quarter-mile away from the apartments. As a precaution, school officials put the school on lockdown. Pierce said no one was injured in the shooting.
Police interviewed multiple suspects in the shooting Monday, but had not made an arrest as of Monday afternoon. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Cobb County Police at 770-499-4539.
