Cobb Schools Get 3.5 Stars Out of 5 in Efficiency Rating

The system released the ratings on Thursday afternoon.

Marietta, GA -- The Cobb school system received a 3.5 out of 5 star rating for efficiency, it announced late Thursday afternoon.

A recently passed Georgia law requires the Georgia Department of Education to create financial efficiency ratings for school districts.

The rating is based on individual school districts' three-year average College and Career Ready Performance Index score and the percentile of the three-year average per pupil expenditure (PPE).

Superintendent Chris Ragsdale stated, “Our district does an exceptional job of maximizing our financial resources while providing quality education for each of our students.”
