Cobb Schools Make Gov. Deal's List of Best Schools
21 Cobb schools made a list of highest performing or greatest gains school awards list.

Gov. Nathan Deal along with the Governor’s Office of Student Achievement (GOSA) added 21 Cobb schools to The Highest Performing or Greatest Gains school awards list.
“I want to congratulate all of the award winning schools across our state, as well as the students and teachers who have worked tirelessly toward these accomplishments,” said Deal.
Georgia’s best schools list included 187 Georgia public schools in 51 districts.

The following Cobb schools made the list:
- Allatoona High School
- Dickerson Middle School
- Dodgen Middle School
- East Side Elementary School
- Eastvalley Elementary School
- Ford Elementary School
- Garrison Mill Elementary School
- Harrison High School
- Hightower Trail Middle School
- Hillgrove High School
- Kemp Elementary School
- Kennesaw Mountain High School
- Lassiter High School
- Mabry Middle School
- McClure Middle School
- Mount Bethel Elementary School
- Murdock Elementary School
- Pope High School
- Sope Creek Elementary School
- Timber Ridge Elementary School
- Walton High School
GOSA used CCRPI data from the 2012-2013, 2013-2014, and 2014-2015 school years to determine Greatest Gains and Highest Performing SSAS awards.
