Cobb Walmart Shootout Leaves 1 Hospitalized
At least six bullet casings were found by police outside the store on Monday, according to authorities.

POWDER SPRINGS, GA — One person was hospitalized Monday after an argument led to a shootout in the parking lot of a Cobb County Walmart store.
According to Cobb County Police, the two people got into an argument outside the store, in the 6500 block of Barrett Parkway in Powder Springs. The argument led to a confrontation with handguns.
Police investigators found at least six shell casings outside the Walmart. One of the people, a man, was taken to the hospital in a private vehicle, while police are still searching for the other, according to Cobb police. A police spokesman said the person who got away may have been shot as well.

No one else in the area was injured in the shooting, according to police, and the store remained open Monday after the shooting.

Police have not publicly released the name of the man who was taken to the hospital and it was unclear Monday afternoon whether the identity of the other shooter is yet known.
