DOT Has Lots of Plans for Cobb Interstates This Weekend

Hitting any Cobb interstates this weekend? Check this list of projects before you head out.

Here's what DOT crews will be doing on Cobb interstates this weekend:

Northwest Corridor Express Lanes

  • On I-75, a traffic pace will take place on the southbound lanes between SR 120 Loop/South Marietta Parkway and Windy Hill Road from 8 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday. The traffic pace will require motorists to drive 5 mph -10 mph to allow contractors to work across the interstate lanes.
  • On I-75, one northbound lane will close between Windy Hill Road and SR 280/Delk Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
  • On I-75, one northbound lane will close between Wade Green Road and SR 92/Alabama Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Sunday.
  • On I-575, one northbound lane will close between Towne Lake Parkway and Ridgewalk Parkway from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
  • On I-575, one southbound lane will close between Barrett Parkway and the I-75 interchange from 8 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.
  • On I-285, one eastbound collector-distributer lane will close between Cumberland Boulevard and Powers Ferry Road from 9 p.m., Friday until 5 a.m., Saturday.

  • One southbound lane will close between SR 120 Loop/North Marietta Parkway and the I-575 interchange from 9 p.m., Friday until 9 a.m., Saturday.
  • One southbound lane will close between SR 120 Loop/ North Marietta Parkway and SR 280/Delk Road from 6 a.m., until 4 p.m., Saturday and from 7 p.m., Sunday until 5 a.m., Monday.

Also:

  • On SR 92/Woodstock Road, one lane will close between the Cobb County line and SR 9/ Alpharetta Highway nightly from 9 p.m., until 5 a.m., starting Friday night until Monday morning.
