Marietta Man, 84, In Hospital After Motor Club Driver Crashes
A driver in the motor club tried to pass the man in a no-pass zone and crashed into him.
MARIETTA, GA — An 84-year-old man sustained life threatening injuries after a head-on collision, according to Marietta Police.
The man, identified as Max Lorenz of Marietta, was taken to the hospital after a group of "car enthusiasts" a part of a motor club crossed into traffic in a no-passing zone and crashed into the elderly man, reported WXIA.
The group was traveling westbound on Whitlock Avenue when the lead car crossed into oncoming traffic, police said.

No charges have been filed and the accident is still active with Marietta's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Unit, who is handling the case.
