
Question: Need more energy, especially with Holidays almost here..How can I get cooking, cleaning and shopping done??? It is all I can do to go to work and back..any suggestions???!
Answer: Great Question, and a Frequent one This time of year especially...
1.) sunshine is less, shorter days....get into sun as much as you can and consider LIGHT Box Therapy, Seasonal Affective Disorder is REAL.,and really drains energy.
2.) Any LABS Drawn lately? Vit.D is the Sunshine Vitamin, and many people are very deficient and this Is a HUge ENERGY DRAIN,,next folk asks an we just go load up on Vit. D..and Answer is NO..too much can have very serious/lethal consequences.so CHECK YOUR VIT. D LEVEL..,BUT darker pigmented skin absorbs Vit. D LESS, SO frequently those with darker skin tones even more prone to deficiency and If severely low you likely need a prescription strength of Vit. D
and B12 another ENeRGY Drain, and IRON Levels another possibility, Hypothyroidism..which can be checked for with labs, hormonal levels..especially Testosterone in gentlemen can attribute to LOW ENERGY...check YOUR LAB NUMBERS ASAP with Physician and make sure no deficiencies that need correction!
3.) Depression that can set in with Seasonal Affective Disorder or by itself!
4.)look at your SLEEP Schedule..allow time for rest and get in exercise in the day..

Alcohol is a depressant and does rob our bodies of certain important nutrients such as B12 and Folate, so watch your intake..discuss with your primary care doctor to see if level of your use of alcohol is too much for you body and be mindful,of Alcohol Consumption especially here at the holidays!
6.) Fibromyalgia can zap your energy, seek treatment for it!
7.)Dental Health....problems with tooth decay, cavities can be affecting your health and lowering your energy,too..see Dentist if not done so recently for a check up!
