RED, WHITE, AND BLUE – AND OTHER COLORS, TOO

The Brickyard at Marietta Station invites you to join local artist Frank Buckner at his latest exhibit, “RED, WHITE, AND BLUE – AND OTHER COLORS, TOO” on Friday, July 1st at The Brickyard at Marietta Station. In addition to his latest works, Buckner will be inviting the public to “paint the town” in an interactive display of Marietta landmarks. Canvases, brushes and paints will be provided; just bring your love of art and a creative mind and be part of the first public exhibit devoted to creating new works of art specific to historic downtown Marietta.

Cobb Landmarks & Historical Society will be at this event with author Doug Frey and his new book, "Marietta-The Gem City of Georgia." Come by and enjoy the exhibit, and get your copy of the book signed while you are here!

About the artist:
A Georgia native, Frank Buckner began drawing and sketching at an early age. But his love of painting grew from a trip to the mountains and his wife’s gift to him of brushes and paints. Today, his work continues to evolve, but color is still what intrigues the self-taught artist. Buckner’s art consists of a mix of bold colors and compelling shapes and can be found in private and corporate collections throughout the country. The artist credits his wife of 42 years, and his “favorite collector” for inspiring him to cultivate his passion.
