THE EAGLE

Starring Rudolph Valentino in one of his last films. Released in 1925 is the story of Lt.Valdimir Dubrowsky (Valentino) who flees the Russian Guard after a failed attempt of seduction by the reigning Russian Czar, Louise Dresser. The then learns that his family’s estate has been stolen from them by an evil nobleman and his father murdered. Valentino then takes on the disguise of THE EAGLE-a hero to the common people who steals from the rich and gives to the poor-a predecessor to the Robin Hood Story. He vows to kill the evil nobleman but falls in love with his daughter which complicates the story!
