Family IDs Cobb Deputy Killed While Serving Warrant: Report

MARIETTA, GA — One of the two Cobb County deputies shot and killed while serving a warrant near John Ward Road Thursday night was identified as Jonathan Koleski, 11 Alive reported Friday.

The outlet reported Koleski was a U.S. Army veteran.

The second deputy killed in the line of duty has not been identified.

Authorities identified Christopher Cook and Christopher Golden as the two men accused of being involved in the shooting. Both were set to appear for a first court appearance Friday.

Both of the fallen deputies were with the Cobb County Sheriff's Office for more than five years.
