Tim Lee, Mike Boyce Headed into a Runoff
U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk defeated four challengers to his Congressional seat. District 2 commissioner Bob Ott easily won his primary.

Cobb Commission Chairman Tim Lee -- widely seen as the architect of the new Atlanta Braves stadium in Smyrna -- will face challenger Mike Boyce in a runoff on July 26..
Shortly before midnight, Boyce was leading Lee, 49 percent to 41 percent, with 133 of 144 precincts reporting. Larry Savage was a distant third with 11 percent.
To avoid a runoff, either candidate needed a majority of votes.

District 2 commissioner Bob Ott was victorious in Tuesday's GOP general primary, defeating a challenge from Jonathan Page.
In other GOP election news, U.S. Rep. Barry Loudermilk defeated four Republican challengers in his 11th congressional district primary.

Also, U.S. Sen. Johnny Isakson easily won the GOP primary, defeating two challengers. He will face a Democrat Jim Barksdale, who also won his party's primary, this fall.
