Good Mews Holds "Ground Scooping" for new shelter, Doubles number of cats they can take in
Ceremony held to kick off construction of new, state-of-the-art shelter

On November 15th Good Mews Animal Foundation, in its 26th year of operation, marked the beginning of construction of its new facility with a “ground scooping” ceremony at the new facility site, 3805 Robinson Road, Marietta.
The modern facility will feature 5,600 square feet of cage-free living space for the cats in Good Mews’s care, featuring large windows, views of gardens and trees, a bright kitten room with ample play space, housing cats that require dedicated care, and space for a planned surgical suite. Construction is expected to begin in December.
Good Mews began a capital campaign to raise one million dollars and has raised $789,000. Since its beginning, the nonprofit, no-kill organization has placed more than 7,500 cats in their forever homes. For more information, visit http://www.goodmews.org or call 770-499-2287.
