Heading Back to College—Student Friendly, Cash Saving Tips

Midway through summer, I have not forgotten that many will be headed back to school. I know several headed to their perspective colleges and universities. I revel in their experience. My undergrad years were some of the best of my life. The shopping, the planning, the decorating…a girl can really have some fun. As fun as all that is, it can be expensive. Unlike when I was doing this, there are more ways to save now than just watching the sales ads. There are also more things to buy to make life so much easier.

Nomoreack.com

I stumbled on Nomorerack when I saw an ad on Facebook for Egyptian cotton sheets. Although this website doesn’t scream college dorm room, it does scream deals. The bedding is lux and prices are so good, any bargain hunter will be impressed.

For returning college students, you’ll find computers, sheets, clothes, luggage, and a plethora of other things you’ll talk yourself into. And once you do take a gander at those prices, you won’t care if you splurge just a little.

Smartphone Car Mounts

Now, freshmen can’t really use these, but upper classman can. If you’re going back to campus with a car you should get a smartphone car mount. The last thing any college student wants is a busted phone. It’s not like you have extra cash to get a new phone ever time your phone goes flying on the floor board. But don’t worry about bulky, plastic mounts that require a drill to install. You can find sleek smartphone car mounts that cleanly adhere to your car.

Reward Shopping

You’ve seen those commercials for Ebates claiming you can earn cash for your shopping. Well, don’t think those are too good to be true. If you can, shop online. And do it via ebates.com or even mypoints.com. Use the rewards for things you’ll need. I do it for gift cards to buy clothes. Those sites also have coupons you can use to save even more money.

So dear college students. Open your eyes and watch for savings. It’s easier for you to get what you need to head back to class with less cash than it was for me. Take advantage of all the savings.
