This furnace was 'just serviced' according to the Seller. Apparently no one noticed it was installed upside down! The installation instructions state this furnace is approved for horizontal or vertical installation (if you can read upside down). While this is technically 'vertical', it shows a gross lack of common sense (and the lack of a permit). At least the installer knew the exhaust gases needed to rise as the exhaust vent is piped from the 'bottom' of the furnace through the roof.
