A real estate website fond of releasing quirky and interesting rankings of cities based on unique categories is back with its latest list, which prominently features Marietta.

The city was named Movoto’s Nerdiest Small City in America, based of the number of comic book stores, video game stores, hobby shops, computer stores, and other “nerdy” businesses within cities between 50,000 and 60,000 people. Movoto also factored in the distance each small city was from the site of large conventions.

“Marietta ranked highest in traditional hobby stores, where it ranked fourth, with 4,863 people for every shop. Marietta also did well in computer stores (fifth place) and comic book stores (seventh place),” Movoto said.

Marietta was 16.4 miles away from the nearest convention, good enough for 40th place, but the low ranking did not tarnish the city’s top ranking.
