Here are the top three stories today in Marietta:
- A Vietnam veteran is working with a local program to help other veterans in need. Cobb County local Dan Hydrick devotes much of his time to working with the Cobb Veterans Accountability and Treatment Court as a mentor and advocate for veteran defendants with substance use disorders or mental illnesses. - The West Cobb Senior Center is set to reopen today (Wednesday, Jan. 4) after it was closed for more than a week to repair damage from burst water pipes. The senior center was one of three county buildings that were closed for repairs following last week's arctic blast. The other two buildings will remain closed until further notice. - Cobb County anesthesiologist, Trey Rollins, created a drinkable IV called Biolyte to help his wife when she was being treated for cancer. Now, the family's youngest daughter runs the business, which donates its product to hospitals for cancer patients. (WSB Radio)
