Man Shoots Brother, Turns Gun On Himself In Marietta: Police
The suspected gunman died, but his brother survived, in the Plains Way shooting.
MARIETTA, GA — A man is dead, and his brother was injured, after a Plains Way shooting Tuesday, Cobb County Police said Wednesday.
Officers responded around 5:45 p.m. to the 3200 block of Plains to a person shot call.
Police said the brothers were engaged in a heated argument, when 29-year-old Philip Tokos was accused of grabbing a gun and shooting his 32-year-old brother in his lower right leg. The brother was able to escape the home and seek assistance.

The brother was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for non-threatening injuries, police said. Tokos remained alone in the home, police said.
Warrants were obtained, and the SWAT team was activated to the scene, police said. Officers searched the home, where they found Tokos dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, police said.
