Schools in Marietta intend to start the 2020-2021 school year on August 4.
“I encourage you to join your school principal and me for your school’s live, virtual town hall,”the school district posted online. “Questions are to be submitted in advance to allow us to consolidate themes and respond to as many questions and suggestions as possible.”
Students will have the option to continue remote learning or receive in-person instruction. Although the district is requesting parents register grades K-8 by Wednesday and high school by Friday, MCS says it’s a flexible deadline.
“The July 8/10 deadline is flexible; we just need to know, as soon as you do, so we can prepare for August 4,” said MCS.
MCS will require all staff, students, and visitors to wear a face covering while in MCS school and district buildings and on MCS school buses.
