Marietta High Student Killed In Car Crash
Marietta Police say the teen's vehicle crashed into a tree and caught on fire.
MARIETTA, GA — A Marietta High School junior was killed Monday in a car crash, Atlanta News First reported Tuesday.
Marietta City Schools notified families in a letter Tuesday morning that Liv Teverino was killed in the crash, the outlet reported.
Marietta Police said the crash happened around 5:30 p.m. in the area of Burnt Hickory Road near Devonwood Trail. Police said Teverino's vehicle had crashed into a tree and was on fire in a wooded area.

When first responders arrived, they saw a 2016 Volvo XC90 in flames as the fire had begun to spread to the surrounding area.
Police said after the fire was extinguished, they found the driver trapped inside of the vehicle. Teverino did not survive the crash, police said.
