Marietta Man, 43, Killed in Early-Morning Accident on I-75: Police
Another Marietta resident was injured in the two-car collision, say police.

MARIETTA, GA — A Marietta man died and another man was injured early Thursday morning when their cars collided in the southbound lanes of Interstate 75, according to the Marietta Police Department
The collision occurred at about 4:04 a.m. Thursday on I-75 south of North Marietta Parkway, the police said. The driver of a red BMW, Brian Kibler, 43, of Marietta, lost control of his vehicle and struck a gray passenger car driven by Nicholas Boyett, 28, also from Marietta.
"The force of the collision caused the red BMW to overturn and Kibler was ejected from the vehicle," the police said in a statement. They pronounced him dead at the scene.

Boyett was transported to Kennestone Hospital with minor injuries, and he was released Thursday morning, the police said.
The Police Department’s Selective Traffic Enforcement Program unit is investigating the fatal accident. Anyone with information related to this accident is encouraged to contact Officer Henderson at 770-794-5364.
