Marietta Man Charged In Multi-Car Crash That Killed Pedestrian
Police said the man's car left its lane, hit two other cars and hit and killed the pedestrian.
MARIETTA, GA — A 66-year-old Marietta man is facing multiple charges after Marietta Police said his car left its lane, hit two cars and hit and killed a pedestrian last week at Cobb Parkway near Terrell Mill Road.
Police charged Lynn Aauron Mctire on suspicion of first-degree homicide by vehicle, reckless driving, driving under the influence, driving on wrong side of road, failure to maintain lane, driving over median, driving on suspended/revoked license and no seatbelt.
A no bond arrest warrant was issued for Mctire, and police said he turned himself into the Smyrna City Jail during the weekend after being notified of the warrant.

The crash happened around 2:45 p.m., May 15. Police identified the pedestrian as Crystal Norris, 54, of Marietta.
Police accused Mctire of driving a 2013 Lexus LS south at Cobb Parkway. The Lexus left the southbound lanes, crossed the raised median and went into the northbound lanes, police said.

The Lexus hit a 2022 Ford Transit van, and then a 2014 Volkswagen Jetta. The Lexus left the east side of the road and hit Norris, police said. She was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where she died.
A Marietta woman had serious injuries, and a third woman had minor injuries. Police said both were taken to Wellstar.
Police said video footage from the Cobb County Department of Transportation and CobbLinc public transit was used in the case.
