MARIETTA, GA — The investigation into the shooting death of a 23-year man continues Tuesday as Marietta police attempt to search for clues and a suspect in what authorities are characterizing as a homicide.

Lamar Miles was discovered deceased in his bed early Sunday morning after police were called to the 1400 block of Bellemeade Ct. following reports of gunfire at 2:20 a.m., Marietta police said Monday. Miles was found with gunshot wounds and evidence suggests that the gunfire came from outside the home.

Police said in a news release that multiple people were inside the home when the shooting occurred and that one other female, Tyneisha Warren, 22, was grazed by the bullet, police said. Warren refused to be taken to the hospital following the shooting, according to the report.
