Marietta Rep Named to Base Closure Committee

Georgia House Speaker David Ralston has appointed state Rep. John Carson to the House Study Committee on Base Realignment & Closure.

This study committee is established by House Resolution 1135 and will examine how to protect Georgia’s military installations from a future federal base realignment and closure action.

Carson is a Republican from Marietta's 46th House district.
