Marietta Shooting Injures Man In His Legs

Marietta Police asked anyone with information regarding a shooting that injured a man in both of his legs to call detectives.

MARIETTA, GA — Police say a man was found with gunshot wounds in both of his legs Thursday night in the 800 block of Powder Springs Street.

Marietta Police on Friday said officers responded to the shooting around 11 p.m. when they found the 20-year-old man.

They applied tourniquets, and the man was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital for treatment, police said. His injuries were not life threatening, police said.

The second person believed to be involved in the shooting fled the scene before officers arrived, police said. A motive in the shooting was not revealed.
