Marietta Student To Compete On 'America's Got Talent'

The school system announced Tuesday the student will be playing the drums during the national talent competition.

MARIETTA, GA — When the latest episode of "America's Got Talent" airs Tuesday, a Marietta student will be seen playing the drums with her group.

Sydney Allen, who attends the Marietta Sixth Grade Academy, will appear on the show with the group, Lil Rascalz, according to Marietta City Schools in a Facebook post Tuesday. The school system did not provide further information.

"America's Got Talent" is in its 18th season.Contestants are competing for the grand prize of $1 million.

Performers are judged by Simon Cowell, who is also the show's executive producer, along with Heidi Klum, Sofia Vergara and Howie Mandel. Actor Terry Crews hosts.

"America's Got Talent" airs at 8 p.m. on NBC.
