Metro Atlanta High School Ranks Among Best In Country: Report
A Marietta high school has been recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the best in the country.
MARIETTA, GA — A Marietta high school has been pegged a top school by U.S. News and World Report. Joining the list of more than a dozen other Cobb County high schools, Walton High School has ranked number five in Georgia and 187 in the nation.
The publication has released its 2020 Best High Schools list. The U.S. News rankings include data on more than 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. These schools have been named as some of the best in the country.
The graduation rate at Walton is 95 percent and college readiness is 67 percent, according to the report. Walton received an overall score of 98.95 out of 100. Schools are ranked on their performance on state-required tests, graduation and how well they prepare students for college.
