Motorcycle Driver Ejected In Marietta Crash Dies
The person killed in a crash Sunday at Canton and Blackwell roads was identified as a Marietta man.
MARIETTA, GA — A motorcycle driver who was ejected after his motorcycle collided with a car Sunday near Canton and Blackwell roads has died, Cobb County Police said Monday.
Police said the crash happened around 1 a.m. at the Canton/Blackwell intersection.
A blue Yamaha was heading north on Canton, nearing Blackwell, where a black Hyundai Sante Fe was going west through the intersection. Police said the Yamaha crashed into the left side of the Hyundai, causing both the motorcycle and its driver to propel to the west.

The motorcycle driver was ejected and came to an uncontrolled rest at the corner of the intersection, police said.
The driver, who police identified as 25-year-old Jared Burriss of Marietta, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital, where he later died of his injuries. The Hyundai driver declined medical transport, police said.
