Motorcyclist Hit By Car Dies In Marietta Crash

The motorcyclist was hit by a car and lost control of his bike on Delk Road, near Bentley Road.

MARIETTA, GA — A motorcycle driver died Monday afternoon after being hit by a car on Delk Road, east of Bentley Road, Marietta Police said Monday night.

The crash happened around 2 p.m., when a 2017 Kawasaki ZX1000 was heading westbound on Delk. A 2023 Toyota Camry was leaving Delk and turned left in front of the approaching motorcycle.

The motorcycle driver tried to avoid the accident but was unsuccessful, police said. The motorcycle collided with the Toyota, causing the motorcycle driver to completely lose control of the bike.

The motorcycle and the driver slid across the eastbound lanes of Delk, where it hit a stopped 2013 Infiniti FX. The motorcycle driver was taken to WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center, where he died of his injuries. His name was not released.
