Pedestrian Hit By Car While Crossing Marietta Street

The 62-year-old man was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, police said.

MARIETTA, GA — A 62-year-old pedestrian is in the hospital with serious injuries after being hit by a car Thursday evening while trying to cross South Marietta Parkway, Marietta Police said Friday.

Police said the Marietta man crossed in front of an oncoming 2004 GMC Yukon around 6:45 p.m. on South Marietta near Victory Drive.

The man was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Regional Medical Center with serious injuries, police said. The driver of the Yukon was not injured and remained on-scene, police said.
