Pedestrian Struck by Car in Forsyth County
The pedestrian is being treated for life-threatening injuries, officials said. The driver who struck the pedestrian stayed on the scene.

A pedestrian is at the hospital in serious condition after being struck by a car in Forsyth County on Monday evening, the Atlanta Journal-Constitution reports.
The Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office reports that the incident occurred at the intersection of Atlanta Highway and Strickland Road in Alpharetta. The pedestrian was transported to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. The driver who hit the pedestrian chose to stay at the site instead of fleeing the area.
Atlanta Highway was shut down while police undertook an investigation of the incident.
