Man Killed, Woman Injured In 3-Car Powder Springs Pileup
The Thursday accident happened on Richard D. Sailors Parkway at the Old Lost Mountain Road intersection.
POWDER SPRINGS, GA — A three-car pileup in Powder Springs Thursday afternoon killed a Dallas man and injured a Hiram woman, Cobb County Police said Thursday night.
Powder Springs Police asked the Cobb police department investigate the crash that happened around 12:15 p.m. on Richard D. Sailors Parkway at the Old Lost Mountain Road intersection.
Police said a 2015 Toyota Corolla and a 2017 Ford Mustang were heading east on Richard D. Sailors.

A 2015 Hyundai Elantra was going west and tried to make a left turn south onto Old Lost Mountain. The Elantra crashed into the Corolla and caused the Corolla to hit the Mustang, police said.
The Corolla then crashed into a metal pole for the overhead traffic signals, police said.

The driver of the Corolla, Gregory Brown, 54, was taken to Wellstar Cobb Hospital with life threatening injuries. He died at the hospital, police said.
The driver of the Mustang, a 29-year-old Hiram woman, was taken to Wellstar Kennestone Hospital with injuries. Police said the driver of the Elantra did not require medical treatment at the scene.
