Preparation for any project is often the most important part. Without a proper foundation, the project will fail. However the prep work is usually covered by the finish work so many people short-cut or skip this step. The photo shown here is from a freshly painted re-sale house - they even painted the electric panel. Too bad they did not clean or prep anything as told the painted lizard skeleton at the bottom of the panel.
