A Bowl That Really Rocks

Go green with this quick, easy and stylish art project.

Tired of seeing records you no longer listen to collect dust, or, if you're like me, holding on to a warped record because it was one of your favorites?

We have an easy, cheap and fun project for you that can make a great gift for family and friends this holiday season.

It's simple. Take an old album, for me it was my warped "Hearts" America album, which I sadly left in my trunk while at an America concert, and place it on a Mason jar in the oven. Set the oven on low and leave the album in for four to five minutes.

When the record starts to melt on the jar, remove it from the oven, flip it over and warp the plastic into the shape of a bowl. Use oven mitts and be careful; it may be hot.

You can specialize the gift by using a record by your intended recipient's favorite band.
