  1. Cobb Sheriff Craig Owens will get a $25,000 pay bump, making him one of the highest-paid sheriffs in Georgia. The raise was approved by the General Assembly and makes his salary $195,000 per year. (Newsbreak via The Atlanta Journal Constitution)
